Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Written in plain English.

Who we are
Inspire the Sunnah Academy (“we”, “us”) runs this website and the Follow Him ﷺ course. This policy explains how we handle your personal data. It is written with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 in mind.
What we collect
Details you give us when you reserve a seat, join the waitlist, ask for a personal plan or send a message:
- your name, email address, WhatsApp number and age group;
- if you gift a seat, the recipient’s name and WhatsApp number or email;
- your answers to the “starting point” questions and anything you write in a message;
- if you save a niyyah card, the intention and name you typed. (The card image itself is made on your device and is not uploaded.)
Payment details. Payments are handled by our payment provider. We receive confirmation of the payment and a reference number. We never see or store your full card, UPI or bank details.
Course records such as attendance, your final assessment result and your certificate details (name, certificate ID and date).
Technical data. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser and pages visited) for security. When you submit a form we store your browser type, a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address to stop spam, the page you sent it from and — if you arrived from one of our links or adverts — which campaign brought you. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the site is used; this policy will be updated to name the tool.
Why we use it
- To reserve your seat and run the course — sending your welcome pack, Google Meet links, reminders and certificate.
- To reply to your questions.
- To take payments and issue refunds.
- To let anyone with your certificate’s QR code confirm it is genuine (it shows your name, the course and the date).
- To keep the website and our forms secure.
- To improve the course and understand which of our posts and adverts work, using combined, non-identifying numbers.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Your consent
We use your details on the basis of the consent you give when you submit a form or enrol, and to deliver the course you have paid for. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us — we’ll stop using your details for anything that isn’t needed for a course you’re currently taking or for legal and accounting records.
Under-18s
The course is open to girls under 18 with the consent of a parent or guardian, who may be asked to confirm it. We do not knowingly process the data of anyone under 18 without that consent, and we never use a child’s data for tracking, behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising.
Who we share it with
Only with services we need to run the academy, and only what they need:
- Our payment provider, to process payments and refunds.
- Google, for Google Meet classes.
- WhatsApp (Meta), when we message you on the number you gave us.
- Our web host, which stores the website and form submissions.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
Where it’s stored
Your data is stored by our providers in India and in other countries where they operate. We choose providers that protect data to a high standard.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and waitlist sign-ups: up to 24 months after we were last in touch.
- Student and certificate records: for as long as we need to verify certificates.
- Payment and invoice records: for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires.
Keeping it safe
Form submissions are stored outside the public part of our website, the site is served over HTTPS, and access to student data is limited to the people who need it to run the course.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you, and how it’s used;
- correct or update it;
- delete it (unless we must keep it by law);
- stop contacting you.
You can also nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you are unable to. To make a request, contact us at our contact form. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Cookies & browser storage
We don’t use advertising cookies. The site uses your browser’s storage to remember small things on your device — for example, which campaign link you arrived from, or a form submission waiting to be re-sent if your connection dropped.
Contact & grievances
For any question or complaint about your data, contact us at our contact form. We’ll respond as quickly as we can, and within the time the law requires.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your data, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes, we’ll tell enrolled students directly.
